The second-hand marketplace Shoppers Share Frustration Over Size Updates
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes without notifying every member regarding the update.
Digital Channels Backlash
Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with similar services.
It has advised users to review their products and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Updates
Earlier, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they will likely be quite upset," she stated.
Necessary Adjustments
A different user, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she stated.

The app has more than 100 million shoppers, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has become a favored option to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: earlier, the service retracted a modification concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
